Abstract (English)
Brazilian basic education is suffering from an intense desertification, in which socio-environmental themes are suppressed and greenery becomes scarce. This is a phenomenon of school desertification that both reflects and expands the process of the desertification of Nature: the aridity caused by humanity extends to the consciousness of children, who are guided to accustom themselves to a world of metal and lime. This book not only denounces this alarming scenario but also presents the method of ecological listening—which shaped humanity's ancestral relationship with the Earth—as a path toward resensitization and insurgency. This is the second volume of the collection “Ecofuturismo Ancestral: Psicoeducação, Ciência-Dança & Brasis” (Ancestral Ecofuturism: Psychoeducation, Science-Dance & Brazils), initiated with “Ao Útero da Natureza: A Máquina, A Deusa e O Estado Brasileiro” (To the Womb of Nature: The Machine, The Goddess, and the Brazilian State).
