This article examines the concept of Sufism and spiritual ethics in the works of the renowned Islamic scholar and mystic Hakim al-Tirmidhi (c. 820–932 CE), one of the most influential representatives of early Islamic spirituality in Central Asia. The study
analyzes his major works, including Khatm al-Awliya, Bayan al-Farq bayn al-Sadr wa al-Qalb wa al-Fu'ad wa al-Lubb, and other treatises devoted to spiritual purification, sainthood, moral perfection, and the inner dimensions of faith. Using historical
comparative and textual-analytical methods, the research investigates al-Tirmidhi’s understanding of ethical self-discipline, spiritual development, and the relationship between divine knowledge (ma‘rifa) and moral conduct
