The Missing Pillar : A Treatment Room Framework for Skin Longevity
Authors/Creators
Description
The field of aesthetics is moving from masking the appearance of aging toward addressing its underlying biology. That shift is now well documented in the dermatologic and geroscience literature. What the literature does not yet describe is the layer of intervention an esthetician actually delivers: the hands-on, energy-and-touch work performed in the treatment room. This paper names that layer as a missing pillar of skin longevity and proposes a sequenced, mechanism-mapped framework, Regulate, Clear, Restore, Rebuild, for applying established aging science within esthetician scope. The framework is offered as a mechanistically grounded model, not as a claim of measured clinical outcomes, and the paper is explicit about that distinction.
