Description
This presentation presents the project 'CrisesData – Establishing infrastructures for Rapid Responses in Societal Crises', which is part of KonsortSWD – NFDI4 Society and based at Freie Universität Berlin and WZB Berlin Social Science Center. The aim of the project is to improve access to crisis-related data from various scientific disciplines and non-academic contexts, to collect and develop crisis-related survey instruments to be used in population surveys, and to establish network structures that facilitate coordination between researchers, data producers and practitioners in crisis and disaster situations. To this end, an online information platform on crisis-relevant data (krisendaten.de) has been set up and will be continuously expanded and improved, a short module with questions relevant to threats and crises has been developed and several events have been and will be organised to bring different stakeholders together. The project is accompanied by a working group of the German Data Forum (RatSWD) and supported by a heterogenous group of experts from both academia and practice.
It was held in context of the Interdisciplinary Colloquium on Digitalisation of Research of the Leibniz Science Campus "DiTraRe" (Digital Transformation of Research).
