Description

The new European Chemistry Thematic Network (ECTN) Core Chemistry brochure presents an updated European framework for bachelor’s-level chemistry education, defining core subject areas, practical laboratory training, and expected learning outcomes across general, physical, inorganic, organic, analytical, biological, and experimental chemistry. It builds on the original EU funded Tuning recommendations while integrating contemporary priorities such as sustainability, digital competence, artificial intelligence, research data management, ethics, and inclusion. The brochure is intended as a flexible reference for higher education institutions to support high-quality, comparable, and future-oriented chemistry curricula across Europe.
