Software: Digital Literacy Course Map (DLCM)

Description
A tool that enables students of social studies, cultural studies, and the humanities to explore their course catalogue by employing a shared vocabulary referring to digital literacy, digital methods, and the concept of digitality.
Developed by the Interdisciplinary Centre for Digitality and digital Methods at Campus Mitte for students at Campus Mitte (the seven participating faculties/institutions) at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and funded by the Medienkommission des Akademischen Senats der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (cf. the 2024 section).
Features
- Data Pipeline: automatic categorization of courses (pattern matching)
- User Interface: landing page, search interface, and glossary - packaged in a single Moodle course
- Mapping Data: keywords and pattern (regex), mapped to at least one category
- Extra Features: evaluating results (recall and precision); analyzing usage of taxonomy + generating of glossary; testing new keywords; exporting to markdown (for RAG)
- Reusability: reusing the DLCM as a framework for your use case
