Description

This dataset contains the data extraction and thematic analysis results of a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) examining ethical issues related to the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based image generators on social media platforms.

The review covers 21 peer-reviewed journal articles published between 2021 and 2026. The dataset includes bibliographic information, study characteristics, key findings, and thematic coding based on six AI ethics dimensions:

  1. Human Dignity, Rights, and Oversight
  2. Fairness, Non-Discrimination, and Inclusion
  3. Transparency and Explainability
  4. Privacy, Security, and Data Governance
  5. Accountability and Governance
  6. Safety, Robustness, and Societal Benefit

The dataset was developed to support transparency, reproducibility, and future research on ethical challenges and governance considerations surrounding generative AI image technologies in social media contexts.
