WeForming demos' execution documentation (pre-demo operations)

This document addresses the integration of Intelligent Grid Forming Buildings (iGFBs) across various EU countries and explains the early operation and readiness of the demos before full-scale operation. It provides a detailed report on the operation of project pilot demonstrators in the pre-demo phase including operation scenarios and early-stage results.

The report starts with the most recent status of the procurement and construction plan in each demo and highlights the concretization of the WeForming assets and their on-site technical details. Next, it delves into the initial deployment of the assets via multiple key components, including the developed hardware, software, and data services. It expands the interaction of the WeForming assets with their surrounding environment and other operating equipment to clearly describe the pilot operational framework. Early-stage and primary results are reported to illustrate the potential and feasibility of the assets prior to their full-scale deployment.

The future operation plan of the demos is discussed by defining multiple operation scenarios. These scenarios are aligned with the previously defined business use cases and KPIs. The required tools (hardware, software and interacting services), targeted KPIs, and the interactions with the WeForming Middleware are explained in each operation scenario.

Lastly, the KPIs are tracked in the current pre-demo phase and planned future actions for their fulfillment are discussed. The demo deployment plan is updated for a more precise future demo overview in the pre-demo and next project phases. The risk analysis incorporates newly identified risks and the updated previously listed risks. The risks are quantified, and the corresponding mitigation measures are proposed.
