Description

RESource is a modular and transparent open-source tool for sub-national assessment of solar and land-based wind potential.

This archive contains the supplementary data and results to reproduce the BC Case Study, the codebase is hosted in github. The data directory has to be placed at root of the cloned repository. Detailed documentation will help the developers and users to reproduce the case study results, tailor their workflow for customized use case.

The tool has a dependency on power network data where it finds the nearest grid nodes (either on rated voltage lines or substations). It has an automated supply-chain from publicly avaiable open-street map (OSM). However, for Canadian studies developers/user may use CODERS for more updated and detailed data. CODERS' power network data is subjected to End User License Agreement (EULA), hence we have not uploaded the dataset here. Developers/users may request the freely available API access CODERS dashboard. The tool has a module to handle CODERS data via API.
