Possible syntypes.
• colony (dry preserved); no locality data; label “ Mus. de Paris ”; RMNH.COEL.4904 • colony (dry preserved); no locality data; label “ Mus. de Paris ”; RMNH.COEL.49666.
Remarks.
The original type material of Antipathes scoparia has not been located. The specimens listed here lack collecting locality, but bear historical labels “ Mus. de Paris ”, consistent with material originating from the Paris collections. They may represent original material, although their status cannot be confirmed. All specimens were observed by the second author (May 2026) and identified as gorgonian species.
