PADMICA Intercultural Reflection Module - Physical Branch

Authors/Creators

Description

The PADMICA Intercultural Reflection module enables students to reflect on and contextualise their mobility experience within a structured learning framework. Its concise, flexible, and resource-conscious design ensures that intercultural learning outcomes are sustained beyond the mobility period and integrated into students’ long-term personal and professional development.

  • Maximise the impact of student mobility beyond the time abroad
  • Support students in integrating their learning into academic and professional life
  • Foster long-term intercultural competences rather than just short-term exposure
  • Offer a structured, scalable, quick-to-adopt debriefing process

Physical Branch

Main focus of this in-person session is the Story Circle method.

The materials for delivering the in-person session of the PADMICA Intercultural Reflection Module include:

  • a detailed script that walks staff through each step of the session, along with
  • a ready-to-use PowerPoint presentation to support delivery.

The online branch of the Intercultural Reflection module is also available.

The module was developed within the PADMICA project, which aims to enhance outgoing students’ intercultural competences and improve the quality of their mobility experiences.

It builds on the theoretical concepts introduced in the PADMICA Intercultural Preparation module, helping students revisit and apply them when reflecting on their intercultural experiences.

Additionally, the project is developing a train-the-trainer module. A comprehensive trainer manual will be released at a later stage.
