Description
The organization of diagnostic and correctional activities in educational institutions plays a crucial role in supporting the psychological, social, and academic development of adolescents. During adolescence, individuals experience significant developmental changes that may lead to emotional, behavioral, educational, and social challenges. Therefore, the implementation of effective diagnostic and intervention mechanisms is essential for identifying developmental difficulties at an early stage and providing appropriate support. The aim of this study was to examine the mechanisms for organizing diagnostic and correctional activities for adolescents in educational institutions and to evaluate their effectiveness in promoting positive developmental outcomes. The study was conducted as a literature review based on scientific publications, academic books, and educational policy documents related to educational psychology, school counseling, and adolescent development. The findings indicate that systematic diagnostic procedures, including psychological testing, observation, interviews, questionnaires, and academic assessments, contribute significantly to the early identification of students’ needs. The analysis also revealed that individualized correctional interventions, such as counseling, behavioral modification programs, social skills training, and academic support services, positively influence adolescents’ emotional well-being, academic achievement, and social adaptation. Furthermore, multidisciplinary collaboration among teachers, psychologists, administrators, social workers, and parents was identified as a critical factor in ensuring successful intervention outcomes. The study concludes that effective diagnostic and correctional mechanisms require comprehensive assessment, evidence-based intervention strategies, continuous monitoring, and active stakeholder participation. Strengthening these mechanisms can contribute to the creation of supportive educational environments that foster adolescents’ holistic development and improve educational outcomes.
