Stellar granulation in multi-band photometry
Authors/Creators
Description
Granulation is known to be a chromatic phenomenon, whose intensity decreases with increasing wavelength. Understanding the details of this wavelength dependence is key to interpret spectroscopic observations of rocky exoplanets. We are using CHEOPS to monitor a small set of targets with TESS-detected oscillations, to compare their granulation parameters in two different bands. At the same time, we are using CHEOPS’s characteristics as an opportunity to study the impact of data gaps on power spectra estimates. With this contribution, we wish to present this project’s progress.
