Governing in the Digital Age: A Comparative Look at the Impact of Information Technology (IT) Governance on the Performance of DepEd Youth Formation Units in Bulacan

Today's youth are digital natives, uniquely positioned to seamlessly adopt and navigate evolving technological advancements. Recognizing this digital literacy, the Department of Education (DepEd) Youth Formation Units drastically accelerated the digital transformation of their administrative processes, programs, projects, and activities. This transition became particularly critical during the COVID-19 pandemic, leveraging Information Technology (IT) to govern resources efficiently, optimize utility, and maintain the uninterrupted delivery of youth development initiatives. Ultimately, the empirical findings of this study demonstrate that the strategic implementation of IT Governance within the DepEd Youth Formation Units in the province of Bulacan significantly enhances institutional performance, driving the efficient, effective, and continuous delivery of essential support services to the youth.
