Description
This dataset provides a catalogue of sources that are relevant for developing the WiseFood digital applications.
In total, the dataset includes links to:
- 98 dietary guides from 27 different countries
- 23 country-specific food composition tables
- 113,348 scientific articles from 61 nutrition-related journals
- 6,972 cooking recipes from 4 different sources
- 6 nutrition-related textbooks
Specifically, the following files are included:
1) Sources_Catalogue.ods
This spreadsheet includes the following:
a) A list of national dietary guides.
For each guide, the provided metadata include: (i) the relevant country; (ii) the title of the document; (iii) the target population; (iv) the type of the file; (v) the language of the document; (vi) the number of pages; (vii) the URL where the original file can be accessed.
b) A list of food composition tables.
For each entry, the following metadata are included: (i) the relevant country; (ii) the format of the dataset; (iii) whether it is free to access; (iv) the URL where the original data can be found.
c) A list of nutrition-related scientific journals obtained from Scopus.
For each journal, the following metadata are included: (i) source title (name of the journal); (ii) CiteScore (average number of citations a journal receives in a given year, divided by the total number of documents published in that journal over the preceding four-year period); (iii) Highest Percentile (relative standing of a journal in its specific subject category, on a scale from 1 to 99); (iv) 2021-24 Citations (total number of citations received by articles published in the journal during the specified four-year window); (v) 2021-24 Documents (total number of peer-reviewed documents published by the journal during the same four-year period); (vi) % Cited (percentage of documents published in the journal during that four-year window that have received at least one citation); (vii) SNIP - Source Normalized Impact per Paper (a metric that measures contextual citation impact); (viii) SJR - SCImago Journal Rank (a prestige-based metric that gives more weight to citations that come from highly-ranked, prestigious journals); (ix) publisher (the organization that produces and distributes the journal).
d) A list of recipe collections from authoritative sources.
Each entry contains: (i) name of the source; (ii) URL of the source.
e) A list of publicly available nutrition-related textbooks.
Each entry includes: (i) title of the textbook; (ii) number of pages; (iii) licence; (iv) URL where the textbook can be found.
2) Journal_Articles.ods
This spreadsheet includes a list of papers contained in each of the nutrition-related journals indicated in the sources catalogue.
For each entry, the following metadata are provided: (i) article title; (ii) publication year; (iii) DOI of the article; (iv) ID of the article in Semantic Scholar; (v) URL of the article.
3) Cooking_Recipes.ods
This spreadsheet includes a list of recipes contained in each of the collections indicated in the sources catalogue.
For each entry, the provided metadata include: (i) recipe title; (ii) URL where the recipe can be accessed.
