This article examines the role and significance of green logistics in ensuring environmental sustainability and improving the efficiency of modern transport and logistics systems. The study analyzes the impact of logistics activities on the environment, including greenhouse gas emissions, energy consumption, and waste generation. Particular attention is given to sustainable transportation solutions, the integration of innovative technologies, renewable energy sources, and digital management systems in logistics processes. The article also explores international experience and best practices in implementing environmentally friendly logistics strategies. Based on the analysis, recommendations are proposed for enhancing the environmental performance and competitiveness of transport and logistics systems through the adoption of green logistics principles. The findings indicate that green logistics serves as an essential tool for achieving sustainable economic development while reducing negative environmental impacts.
