Paper CCLXV: The Galoppo-Bruni-Harada CDM-Curvature Direct-Collapse Ceiling at 10^6 M_sun Sharpens the Case for OOB Vortex-Seeded LRDs — A 1.5-2.5 dex Gap Between the CDM Ceiling and the Confirmed JWST Overmassive Population (CCLX + CCLXI)

Description

Galoppo, Bruni and Harada (arXiv:2605.30145, 2026) derive the seed-mass output of CDM-only direct collapse using exact general-relativistic solutions (Lemaitre-Tolman-Bondi and quasi-spherical Szekeres) on primordial curvature peaks in a pressureless-dust LambdaCDM background, finding seeds of mass 10^3 - 10^6 M_sun forming at z > 5 with core collapse beginning at 10 <= z <= 16. The paper does not address Little Red Dots (LRDs) or overmassive M_BH/M_star > 1 systems. We observe that the JWST overmassive LRD population now directly confirmed by the Juodzbalis et al. (Nature 653:1017-1021, 2026) dynamical measurement of A2744-QSO1 at z = 7.04 with M_BH = 5 x 10^7 M_sun and M_BH/M_star > 2 (Paper CCLX), and characterised at population scale on N = 16 z > 5 broad-line AGN with 100% above the Reines-Volonteri 2015 local relation and a median offset of +1.84 dex (Paper CCLXI), sits at log M_BH >~ 7.5 -- i.e., 1.5 to 2.5 dex ABOVE the Galoppo CDM-only ceiling. Their result sharpens, rather than threatens, the case for the framework's vortex-seeded direct-collapse mechanism (Paper CLVII Prediction-5; Paper CLVIII Section 3.2). Vortex seeding in primordial G_2 vortex sites produces 10^7.5 - 10^8.5 M_sun seeds via brane-current pre-organisation of gas above the Freeman threshold (Sigma_crit -> 0), with no UV-source requirement. After Galoppo et al., the empirical case is: standard CDM closes the small-seed sector at 10^6 M_sun; the observed LRD overmassive population lives entirely above this ceiling; OOB CLVII is currently the only mechanism in the literature that closes both the mass-scale constraint and the M_BH/M_star > 1 constraint simultaneously. Three forward predictions: (CCLXV-P1) bimodal log M_seed distribution with Galoppo peak at log M ~ 5-6 and CLVII peak at log M ~ 7.5-8.5, gap at 6.5-7.5 should be under-populated in deep COSMOS-Web + Roman statistics within 2 years; (CCLXV-P2) kinematic distinguishability via host rotational support; (CCLXV-P3) the 10^6.5 - 10^7.5 M_sun gap should not fill at the >30% level in samples of N >= 100. Short positioning paper, no new framework derivation. Honest open items: (a) first-principles derivation of vortex-enclosed-mass scale from K(7) systolic geometry still open; (b) Galoppo paper does not address late-time M_BH-M_star co-evolution. Framework count: 266 numbered papers.
