Cyclaspoides longimerus Mühlenhardt-Siegel, 2005

Holotype.

South Atlantic Ocean • ovig. ♀; Angola Basin, DIVA I exped., FS Meteor stat. M 48/1-348 -1; 16°18.1'S, 05°27.2'E to 16°19.3'S, 05°27.2'E [- 16.28315, 5.45465; - 16.32133, 5.45342]; 5390–5387 [5430–5433] m depth; 28 July 2000; Angelika Brandt & J. Wolfgang Wägele leg.; epibenthic sledge; ZMH -K-040560.

Paratypes.

* • subA. ♂; Angola Basin, DIVA I exped., FS Meteor stat. M 48/1-330 -5; [-19.11675, 3.86705]; 5468 m depth; 17 July 2000; Angelika Brandt & J. Wolfgang Wägele leg.; box corer; ZMH -K-040561. * • subA. ♂ + + 2 ovig. ♀♀ + 2 subA. ♀♀; same data as holotype; one ovig. female dissected and one subA. as SEM preparation; ZMH -K-067067.

Remarks.

Mühlenhardt-Siegel (2005 a) assigned a single collection number to all paratype material, although it comprises animals from two different stations. Specimens from stat. 330 retains the original collection number (ZMH -K-040561), whereas the material from stat. 348 were assigned to a new collection number (ZMH -K-067067).

Diagnosis.

Antenna 1, article 3 reaching beyond tip of pseudorostrum. Maxilliped 3 basis’ distal prolongation reaching to articulation carpus / propodus. Pereopod 2, merus longest, in comparison to basis and dactylus; ischium incompletely fused to basis. Uropod endopod unsegmented; uropod exopod longer than endopod (Mühlenhardt-Siegel 2005 a).

Distribution.

South East Atlantic, Angola and Guinea Basins, depth: 3154–5387 m.
