Engaging the Orang Asli in Monitoring the Krau Forest Reserve: A Citizen Science Approach

Presentation slides prepared for a two-day Citizen Science Masterclass at the University of Oulu, Finland, on 30 & 31 May 2023. The presentation outlines a proposed citizen science project to engage Orang Asli communities in monitoring the Krau Wildlife and Forest Reserve in Peninsular Malaysia. It explores how participatory biodiversity and environmental monitoring can be designed in ways that respect Indigenous knowledge, strengthen community stewardship, and support conservation.
