Abstract. This article discusses the role of trigonometric functions in mathematical education, their main properties, and the methodology for effectively teaching them to students. The importance of combining theoretical knowledge with practical exercises, using graphic images, and applying modern pedagogical technologies in teaching trigonometric functions is analyzed. Attention is also paid to the development of students' logical thinking, mathematical thinking, and problem-solving skills in the process of mastering the subject. The article shows the advantages of organizing lessons based on interactive methods, information and communication technologies, and a differential approach. Ways to overcome difficulties in teaching trigonometric functions and methodological recommendations for the formation of students' competencies in the subject are also described. The results of the study serve to improve the quality of mathematics education and strengthen the level of knowledge of students.
