Description
Cumella praslinensis Mühlenhardt-Siegel, 2000
Holotype.
Seychelles • ovig. ♀; Isle Praslin [Petite Anse Volbert], PR 4; close to nature reserve; 0.5 m depth; 03 October 1996; Volker Siegel & Ute Mühlenhardt-Siegel leg.; hand-net; fine sand with a high percentage of plant detritus; ZMH -K-039798.
Paratypes.
* • 14 spm.; same data as holotype; one female dissected, one female as SEM preparation, one male dissected, and one male as SEM preparation; ZMH -K-039799.
Remarks.
Mühlenhardt-Siegel (2000) declared one paratype lot deposited at the ZMA (ZMA Cu. 204913).
Diagnosis.
Maxilliped 3 without teeth; basis and merus elongate. Uropod, peduncle subequal in length to pleonite 6; exopod subequal in length to its terminal spine; endopod about twice as long as its terminal spine (after Mühlenhardt-Siegel 2000).
Distribution.
Seychelles Islands, 0.5–1 m depth.
