Diagnosis.
Carapace elevated posteriorly, rough surface, with tiny teeth on dorsal crest; pseudorostrum and frontal lobe with hair-like simple setae, longer than pereonites together; pseudorostral lobes meeting in front of ocular lobe, serrated on anterior margin; siphonal tube not protruding; ocular lobe moderately small; eye lenses missing; antennal notch and anterolateral tooth missing; anteroventral margin of carapace not serrated; integument whitish, rough because of scaly structure. Five free thoracic segments visible. Pleon, including telson, as long as carapace and free thoracic segments together. Telson 1.1 times wider than long, 0.7 times as long as uropod peduncle, with serrated margins, 4 pairs of lateral setae, and 3 terminal setae equal in length (after Mühlenhardt-Siegel 2019).
Distribution.
Northeast Atlantic, Vema Fracture Zone, 5085–5735 m depth.
