Holotype.

North Pacific Ocean • non-ovig. ♀; Kuril-Kamtschatka-Trench, KuramBIO exped., FS Sonne stat. SO 223-2-9; 46.24°N, 155.55°E [46.22667, 155.55700; 46.24883, 155.54283]; 4830–4864 [4865.9–4859.8] m depth; 03 August 2012; Angelika Brandt leg.; epibenthic sledge; ZMH -K-044213.

Allotype.

* • subA. ♂; same data as holotype; ZMH -K-044214.

Paratypes.

* • 2 juv.; same data as holotype; ZMH -K-044215.

Remarks.

Lavrenteva and Mühlenhardt-Siegel (2015) designated additional paratypes, which are deposited at the MIMB (MIMB 29071, MIMB 29072, MIMB 29073, MIMB 29076).

Diagnosis.

Carapace serrated on anterior half with two rows of 22–28 alternating teeth; antennal notch shallow; anterolateral corner small. Pseudorostrum without dorsal teeth, carapace significantly convex in frontal part. Maxilliped 3, basis endite as long as ischium. Pereopod 2 and basis of pereopod 1 with cuspidate setae (after Lavrenteva and Mühlenhardt-Siegel 2015).

Distribution.

Northwest Pacific, Kuril-Kamchatka abyssal plain, 4830–5418 m depth.
