Description

Ischemic stroke is based on an acute cerebrovascular disorder that leads to the development of energy deficiency, oxidative stress, glutamate excitotoxicity, inflammatory reactions, and neuronal apoptosis. These pathological processes contribute to the formation of the ischemic injury zone and determine the severity of neurological deficits.
