Hyperborea as the Moon: The Return of the Lost Vertical in Ancient Cosmology

This work proposes a mythopoetic reinterpretation of Hyperborea as not a terrestrial northern land but a supra-terrestrial reality identified with the Moon. Re-examining Greek mythological and linguistic structures, the text argues that Hyperborea encodes a metaphysical geography in which the Moon functions as the ancestral source of human origin and consciousness. The study integrates philological reflections, symbolic cosmology, and mythological narratives to reconstruct a model of “vertical anthropology,” where human existence is understood as a descent from a lunar origin and a possible return to it. The argument situates myth not as fiction, but as a form of primordial epistemology preserved through symbolic language.

В работе предлагается мифопоэтическая интерпретация Гипербореи не как земной северной области, а как надземной реальности, отождествляемой с Луной. Переосмысляя греческую мифологию и языковые структуры, автор показывает, что образ Гипербореи кодирует метафизическую географию, в которой Луна выступает как первоисточник человеческого происхождения и сознания. Исследование объединяет филологические наблюдения, символическую космологию и мифологические мотивы, формируя модель «вертикальной антропологии», где человеческое существование понимается как нисхождение из лунного истока и возможность возвращения к нему. Миф рассматривается не как вымысел, а как форма первичного знания, сохранённого в символическом языке.
