To God Through the Eye of the Needle. The Sacred Meaning of Service and the Ontology of the Narrow Path

This article offers a philosophical and metaphysical interpretation of the “eye of the needle” motif as a universal symbol of the human spiritual path. It argues that the image of the Narrow Gate, present in Christian, ancient, and Eastern traditions, expresses a fundamental law of inner transformation through voluntary self-limitation and purification. Service is interpreted as an ontological process of “narrowing” the subjective ego into a state of radical inner simplicity, where the authentic nature of the human being is revealed. Special attention is given to the relationship between freedom and the necessity of passing through an experience of inner contraction understood as a condition of spiritual ascent. The study is interdisciplinary, integrating philosophical anthropology, comparative religion, and symbolic hermeneutics.

В статье предлагается философско-метафизическое осмысление образа «игольного ушка» как универсального символа духовного пути человека. Показано, что мотив Узких Врат, присутствующий в христианской, античной и восточной традициях, выражает фундаментальный закон внутреннего преобразования личности через добровольное самоограничение и очищение. Служение интерпретируется как онтологический процесс «сужения» субъективного эго до состояния предельной внутренней простоты, в которой раскрывается подлинная природа человека. Особое внимание уделяется связи между идеей свободы и необходимостью прохождения через опыт внутреннего «сжатия», понимаемого как условие духовного восхождения. Работа носит междисциплинарный характер, объединяя элементы философской антропологии, сравнительного религиоведения и символической герменевтики.
