Description

This dataset contains the raw satellite imagery used in the study titled "Impact of Path/Row and MGRS Tile Filtering on Spectral Index Composites and Time-Series Analysis: A Comparative Study Using Landsat and Sentinel-2 Data". The data are organized into three separate folders, each corresponding to one of the three study areas. The first study area (SA1) is located in the southeastern United States, straddling the border between Georgia and Alabama. The second study area (SA2) is situated in northeastern Syria, centered on the Deir ez-Zor governorate and the Euphrates River valley. The third study area (SA3) lies in the Punjab Plains of Pakistan, one of the most intensively cultivated agricultural landscapes in South Asia. Each folder contains the raw, unprocessed Landsat and Sentinel-2 scenes (including relevant spectral bands) required to reproduce the comparative analyses of spatial filtering schemes and time-series evaluations presented in the associated journal article. No preprocessing or filtering has been applied to these raw data.
