This article explores the physical infrastructure of our emotions (the Biophysical Domain of Node 3). Through accessible language supported by cutting-edge neuroscience, the essay dismantles the outdated idea that the brain functions solely as a network of electrical cables. The Integrated Theory of Mind (TIM) introduces the Glial Network as the true "engine" of our feelings. Reconnecting with the Cognitive Domain, we will map how subcortical attentional vectors route signals into two distinct domains: the Soma (using rapid synaptic circuits for physical pain and survival reflexes) and the Psyche (triggering slow calcium waves to generate conscious Suffering or Joy). The final arena for this transformation is the Insula, the organ that converts energy expenditure into "emotional consciousness."
