Synthetic Aircraft on Ground (AOG) Events Dataset for Aviation Maintenance, Logistics, and Resilience Research (2019–2026)

Description

This dataset is a synthetic aviation maintenance and disruption dataset designed to support research in Aircraft on Ground (AOG) event management, aviation logistics, predictive maintenance, operational resilience, and supply chain analytics. The dataset contains 406 simulated AOG events across multiple aircraft types and airport locations. Each record includes information on aircraft identifiers, maintenance failure categories, event occurrence dates, AOG duration, logistics response modes, lead times, operational costs, logistics costs, total disruption costs, and the number of passengers affected. The dataset was generated using realistic aviation maintenance and logistics assumptions to replicate the operational characteristics of AOG incidents while ensuring that no real airline, airport, or proprietary data are disclosed. This synthetic dataset is suitable for machine learning applications, predictive maintenance modeling, disruption management studies, aviation logistics optimization, resilience assessment, and digital twin research within the aviation industry.
