Inducing Suction Sensation by Positive Pressure Stimuli on the Palm

Description
The study investigates a suction illusion where a decrease in positive pressure on the palm elicits a pulling sensation. Experiments using a custom tactile device revealed that a greater shell curvature and a larger indenter diameter intensify the effect. It was also revealed that the effect was intensified with a longer pressure period.
