Description

Title: Tabletop Tests of Hopf-Soliton Magnetism: Experimental Protocols

Author: A. Novickis (alex.novickis@gmail.com)

The Hopf soliton programme of fundamental physics identifies the electron, quarks, and other particles with topologically non-trivial configurations of a single field $\hat n: \mathcal M \to S^2$. Paper CXXV derives specific predictions for magnetic susceptibility in achiral hopfion materials and for the Meissner-confinement scaling in cuprate superconductors, but treats experimental protocols at the outline level. This paper expands on the experimental side: we propose five laboratory protocols using standard condensed-matter magnetometry and imaging techniques, targeting the programme's core predictions at the 0.1%–10% precision level. Each protocol specifies the apparatus, sample requirements, measurement strategy, expected signal magnitudes, and a falsification criterion. Two of the protocols are within reach of single-institution condensed-matter laboratories at the timescale of one graduate-student project; three require multi-institution collaboration or access to specialised facilities. All five are tabletop (non-accelerator, non-astrophysical) experiments.
