Offline Digital Health Record System Linked to National ID Card for Rural Hospitals in Anbar, Iraq

Abstract

This paper presents a pilot initiative for a fully offline digital health record system for 14 hospitals in Anbar Governorate, Iraq. The system links patient records to the Iraqi National ID card using MRZ technology. A 60-day pilot is proposed at Al-Fallujah General Hospital with estimated savings of $137,200.
