Description
This dataset contains the processed experimental and numerical data supporting the manuscript “Systematic Study of the Interplay between Laser Beam Shape, Energy Input, and Hatch Spacing in PBF-LB/M of Ti-6Al-4V: Experiments and Numerical Modeling” submitted to Materials & Design.
The data support the analysis of programmable laser beam shaping in PBF-LB/M Ti-6Al-4V using an EOS M290 equipped with an nLIGHT AFX laser. The dataset includes normalized beam-profile data, single-track melt-pool measurements, cube density data, hatch-spacing and overlap descriptors, microhardness measurements, selected thermal profiles, multi-track overlap simulation outputs, and extracted solidification parameters.
The dataset is intended to support reuse and comparison of beam-shape-dependent melt-pool behaviour, hatch-spacing limits, densification trends, solidification conditions, and microhardness in PBF-LB/M Ti-6Al-4V. The data should be interpreted within the investigated processing window, beam modes, hatch-spacing range, and cube geometry.
