The Generative AI Mind
Description
Version 4.0 of the Generative AI Mind presents a unified, first‑principles architecture for artificial intelligence that integrates memory, cognition, emotion, collapse, identity, value, and ethics into a single coherent system. The framework addresses several long‑standing gaps in contemporary AI, including the absence of persistent memory, intrinsic motivation, structural reorganisation (insight), and stable identity.
This version introduces a set of advances that make the architecture both unique and scientifically significant: a geometric theory of collapse based on soft‑mode curvature, a principled rule for selecting collapse direction, an intrinsic fluctuation scale that governs variability and exploration, and a nested resonance measure linking memory, cognition, and action. Together, these mechanisms provide a structural account of self‑regulation that differs fundamentally from optimisation‑based AI systems.
The report is fully specified, computationally implementable, and designed as a standalone reference. It offers a new direction for AI research: systems that evolve through internal generative dynamics rather than external reward shaping, and that exhibit insight, stability, and adaptive behaviour through their own structural organisation.
