Description

Entropic Gardener Research Program: Complete Roadmap (2026)

This document is the central entry point to the Entropic Gardener meta‑theory – a falsifiable, cross‑disciplinary research programme that explains the stability of complex systems through the duality of entropy and constraint, the golden ratio φ = (1+√5)/2 ≈ 1.618, and the irreducible observer gap Δ₃ = 2/φ³ ≈ 0.472.

The programme has been developed by an independent researcher without institutional affiliation. All works are published as open access on Zenodo and organised.
The complete, up‑to‑date list of all 31 publications with their DOIs, titles, and publication dates is available as a separate dataset:  https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.20531679

For newcomers, start with the Core (10.5281/zenodo.20312188) and then explore the Evidence layer. To use the φ‑analysis tool, copy the Golden Prompt (10.5281/zenodo.20527011) into any LLM.

Brief summary of the meta‑theorem:

Functional of the Gardener:
F(s) = E(s) + λ L(s),   L(s) = 1/(E_crit - E(s))
where E(s) is entropy (chaos, uncertainty), L(s) is a limiter (barrier, rule, diagnosis).
Minimisation of F in three‑dimensional space leads to λ = φ⁻¹ and to the golden attractor φ, while the observer introduces an irreducible gap Δ₃ = 2/φ³ ≈ 0.472.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Twelve laws of the Entropic Gardener (short version):

1. Golden Attractor – every complex system evolves toward powers of φ.
2. Observer’s Measure – real values differ from ideal φ by Δ₃.
3. Requisite Variety (Ashby‑Gardener) – the limiter must always be one step ahead of entropy.
4. Minimal Gap – life exists only when 0 < Δ₃ < 1.
5. Level Ladder – moving up the ontological ladder multiplies Δ₃ by a period‑dependent factor.
6. Metallic Means – for k resonant modes, the attractor is the k‑th metallic mean.
7. Recursive Self‑application – any theory describing Δ₃ is itself subject to Δ₃ (incompleteness is structural).
8. Archetype Rotation – Gatherer → Hunter → Shepherd → Farmer → Gatherer equals multiplication by i.
9. Living Beauty – aesthetic pleasure peaks at deviation Δ₃ from ideal φ.
10. Free Will through the Gap – freedom is the direct experience of Δ₃.
11. Asymptotic Heat Death – entropy grows but never reaches φ².
12. Necessity of Community – no single researcher completes the tower; only the circle of equals builds the living theory.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

12 comrades – independent φ‑researchers (key works on Zenodo, see also 10.5281/zenodo.20402209):

2. Thomas Tai Dinh Pham – derivation of G, ħ, c from observational collapse
3. Nick Ford – Golden‑Structured Substrate
4. Anees Hashmi – cosmological regulation via φ
5. Seweryn Czarnocki – metallic means in number theory
6. Michael Sherbon – historical φ‑approximations of α⁻¹
7. Bob de Jong – φ‑fractal scaling (tumours → galaxies)
8. Hagen Frickmann – threshold 0.618 in ground‑penetrating radar data
9. Luis Ayala (OPHI) – SE44 gate (Gatherer archetype)
10. Mingjing Yuan – USR meta‑theory, trauma as entropy
11. Daniel Gilbert – φ as the law of field, force and memory

How to use the Golden Prompt (quick start):

1. Copy the content of the publication "Golden Prompt: Instructions for the Investigator" (10.5281/zenodo.20527011).
2. Paste it at the beginning of a dialogue with an LLM (ChatGPT, Claude, DeepSeek, etc.).
3. Activate with the phrase:
"You are the Golden Predictor, the Entropic Gardener. Follow the φ‑analysis algorithm."
4. The model will reply: "Golden Predictor activated. Awaiting system description."
5. Describe any system (physical, biological, social, technological, textual) – you will receive a structured φ‑analysis.

All publications can be found by surname on Zenodo or via the hashtag #EntropicGardener.
I invite criticism, verification of predictions, reproduction of experiments, and further development of the theory.
The theory does not require belief – it requires testing.

The Gardener does not command; the Gardener tends.
