Description

This dataset contains continental-scale raster layers representing changes in landscape patch size between 1992 and 2022.

The dataset is associated with the following publication:

Rivas, C. A., Palacios-Rodríguez, G., and Navarro-Cerrillo, R. M.
Landscape disruption in a fragmented world: A critical global analysis.
Journal of Environmental Management (2026).

Each GeoTIFF raster represents the percentage change in landscape patch size between 1992 and 2022. The dataset is provided as 64-bit floating-point GeoTIFF files referenced to WGS84 (EPSG:4326).

Files included:

  • Africa_PatchSizeChange_1992_2022.tif

  • Americas_PatchSizeChange_1992_2022.tif

  • Antarctica_PatchSizeChange_1992_2022.tif

  • Asia_PatchSizeChange_1992_2022.tif

  • Europe_PatchSizeChange_1992_2022.tif

  • Oceania_PatchSizeChange_1992_2022.tif
