Description
This article comprehensively covers the issues of updating the technical base and wide introduction of advanced and high-performance technologies in the direction of developing the mining industry of our republic. It is emphasized that excavators play an important role as the main mechanization tool in the process of open-pit mining as a means of extracting rocks. In addition, various types of steel rope and hydraulic excavators and their main technical parameters are analyzed in a comparative manner. In scientific research, material consumption and energy efficiency in relation to the bucket capacity are considered as the main factors as criteria for determining the technical level. Based on the results obtained, scientific recommendations are formulated to improve the design solutions of mining excavators and increase their efficiency.
