Description
Smartphones have undergone a qualitative leap, transforming from mere communication tools into core hubs for managing sensitive data, financial transactions, and digital identities. This paradigm shift has made them primary targets for sophisticated cyber threats. This research paper aims to investigate the structural architectural vulnerabilities in leading mobile operating systems (Android and iOS), analyzing modern attack vectors such as advanced mobile malware, zero-click exploits, spear-phishing, and 5G network vulnerabilities. Furthermore, the paper proposes a comprehensive, multi-layered technical defense framework that integrates machine learning algorithms for proactive anomaly detection, Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA), and robust process isolation (sandboxing). The paper concludes with strategic recommendations for developers and enterprises to enhance mobile cyber resilience.
Keywords: Cybersecurity, Smartphones, Android and iOS, Social Engineering, Machine Learning, Zero Trust, Malware.
