Description

This is a utility script used for the post processing of LISFLOOD model output.

See the full paper for details ("An assessment of European water storage requirements for adaptation to climate change").

The first script reads the NetCDF and calculates, for each year, the annual storage volume that is needed, for each demand, for the climatic model 1 (out of 11 used ones) and for RCP 8.5.

The second scripts (2a and 2b) implement the Theil–Sen estimator to estimate the slope coefficients of storage rates (script 2a) and availability (script 2b), for each water demand type.

The third script calculates, for the constant demand, the value of slope coefficient among the 11 climatic models.

The excel file "mask3" is the European mask used in the first script to extract selected basins and contains the number of column and row of the pixels.

The sumamry excel file for RCP85 and the various demands is also attached.
