Description

This paper applies the Dantean Dynamic Field model to Dante Alighieri’s Purgatorio, revealing its role as the transitional centripetal balancing vector between the Inferno’s centrifugal collapse and the Paradiso’s harmonic convergence. Through digital root algebra in ℤ₉, we demonstrate that the Purgatorio’s lexical surface stabilizes at attractor 5, while its metrical axis remains anchored to root 3. Quantitative analysis of the 33 cantos shows a balanced oscillation between the narrative surface (Group B: 1+2+4+5+7+8) and metrical axis (Group A: 3+6+9), with the A/B ratio increasing from 0.735 to 0.755—indicating a state of dynamic equilibrium. The cantica functions as a topological transition zone, where the centrifugal forces of the Inferno are systematically converted into the centripetal stability required for the Paradiso’s harmonic resolution.
