Orientation data to reconstruct a stress state, Raman spectrum data to identify serpentine mineral phase, and Raman carbonaceous-material spectrum data and chlorite chemical composition data to estimate a metamorphic peak temperature

Description
Dataset includes orientation data, Raman spectrum data, and chemical composition data obtained from the Nakaguro Serpentinite and the Kogurisu Unit of the Cretaceous Shimanto Accretionary Complex in the central Kii Peninsula, SW Japan.
An open file in “1. Orientation data” is orientation data obtained from the Takami River Section, including the foliation of the pelitic matrix of the Kogurisu Unit, the contact between the Nakaguro Serpentinite (altered to the talc rock) and the Kogurisu Unit at sites A and B, talc veins in the Nakaguro Serpentinite at site A, and carbonate veins in the metasomatized metabasalt blocks of the Kogurisu Unit at sites A and B. The vein data were applied to the stress inversion method (Yamaji & Sato, J. Struct. Geol., 2011, https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jsg.2011.05.006) using a GArcmB software (Yamaji, Isl. Arc, 2016, https://doi.org/10.1111/iar.12135).
Open files in "2. Srp Raman data" are Raman spectrum data of serpentine from the Nakaguro Serpentinite.
Open files in “3. RSCM data” are Raman carbonaceous-material spectrum data from a pelitic phyllite of the Kogurisu Unit. The data can be analyzed using the code proposed by Kaneki and Kouketsu (Isl. Arc, 2022, https://doi.org/10.1111/iar.12467) or PeakFit ver. 4.12.
Open files in “4. Chl composition data” are chemical composition data of chlorite from a pelitic phyllite of the Kogurisu Unit. The data were applied to the chlorite thermometry proposed by Bourdelle et al. (Contrib. Mineral. Petrol., 2013, https://doi.org/10.1007/s00410-012-0832-7).
All open file data have been used in Shimura et al. (submitted to Tectonics).
