DEVELOPING STUDENTS' COLLABORATION AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS THROUGH TEAM SPORTS
Authors/Creators
Description
This article examines the pedagogical and psychological potential of team sports in developing students’ collaboration and communication skills in general secondary education. The relevance of the topic is determined by the growing need to educate physically healthy, socially active, emotionally stable and communicative young people who are able to cooperate in a group, respect rules, share responsibility and make collective decisions. In modern school practice, physical education is no longer limited to the formation of motor abilities; it is increasingly viewed as a social-learning environment where pupils master leadership, empathy, conflict resolution and constructive dialogue. Team games such as football, volleyball, basketball, handball and relay-based activities create natural situations in which students must exchange information quickly, coordinate actions, listen to partners, evaluate tactical choices and support each other emotionally.
