MESA inlists for helium star models with Vink (2017) wind mass loss rate. Used in "Double Neutron Star Delay Times Across Cosmic Metallicities: The Role of Helium Star Progenitors".

Description
This record contains the MESA inlists used in the study, Chattaraj et al. (2026). We made a modification to the default Nugis & Lamers (2000) He star wind mass loss prescription within POSYDON v2, instead using the Vink (2017) for low mass, low luminosity helium stars. The modification is documented within the run_star_extras in this repository. Please see the attached README file for instructions on how to reproduce the data.

Fragos et al. (2023) and Andrews et al. (2025) are the two instrument papers for POSYDON v1 and v2, respectively, and detail the physics implemented within our MESA setups. Chattaraj et al. (2026) describes the reasoning behind our modified wind implementation, and studies the impact of this modified prescription on the star/binary (see Figure 8), and on the delay time distribution of binary neutron stars.
Note: POSYDON provides a standardized repository for its publicly available MESA inlists. You can find the official repository here.
