  • 1. Researcher in the field of linguodidactics and methods of teaching English
  • 2. Academic supervisor: Teacher at Uzbekistan State World Languages University

Description

In the context of modern globalization, the English language has shifted from being a professional advantage to a basic requirement for employment. This trend became popular, leading to a sharp surge in demand for high-quality language education in Uzbekistan, leading to the development and popularization of the private sector of extracurricular education—language tutoring centers (ESL centers). This article presents the multifaceted consequences of this phenomenon for various social groups, including students, parents, and state educational institutions in Russia. The empirical part of the study is based on the results of a sociological survey conducted among language center students and their parents. A comparative analysis of academic performance demonstrated that students who combine school education with classes in specialized centers exhibit a significantly higher level of language competence than those who limit themselves exclusively to the state school curriculum.
