Re-Examining Isotope-Dependent Optical Effects: A Call for Precision Investigation
Description
Small optical differences between isotopes have been known for decades, yet modern measurement capabilities now exceed those available when many foundational explanations were established. Could isotope-dependent optical effects still contain unexplored information about the relationship between nuclear structure and light–matter interactions?
This paper proposes a systematic precision-investigation of isotopic optical phenomena across multiple material systems. The goal is not to challenge established theory, but to test its completeness and identify whether any reproducible residual effects remain.
