Description
The study examines the factors influencing green supply chain management (GSCM) technologies and practices in selected pharmaceutical and textile firms in Southwestern Nigeria. The study was carried out in 10 pharmaceutical and 10 textile firms in Lagos and Ogun States. Primary data were collected through structured questionnaires administered to a total of 240 respondents. Sixteen factors influencing the adoption of Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) technologies in industrial firms were analysed and grouped into five categories: Government Policies and Regulations, Customer Factors, Internal Factors, External Factors, and Production/Operational Factors. Using SPSS for mean and factor analysis, key influencing factors identified include infrastructure, staff training, related knowledge, professional human resources, and initial implementation costs. Factor analysis confirmed four major determinants: business strategy modifications, skills in green practices, professional human resources, and government support.
