TideVault

TideVault is a global catalogue of historical tide records, providing metadata on the location, temporal coverage, format, and digitisation status (digitised/undigitised) of historical paper-based sea-level records. Where available, the database also documents the methods used to recover and digitise records, together with links to the relevant studies through which the data were recovered or compiled.

The database is intended to support the discovery, recovery, and preservation of historical sea-level observations and to facilitate their use in scientific research and coastal planning.

TideVault will be updated as new records are identified, recovered, and digitised worldwide. If you are aware of historical tide records that are not currently included in this release, please contact the maintainer so that they can be considered for inclusion in future versions.
