BRIDGING SCIENCE AND SOCIETY: CONTEMPORARY FACTORS IN QUALITY OF LIFE ADVANCEMENT

The rapid acceleration of scientific and technological innovation in the 21st century presents unprecedented opportunities to enhance human well-being. However, the true measure of scientific progress lies not merely in technological capability, but in its effective integration into society to improve the Quality of Life (QoL). This paper explores the contemporary factors that bridge the gap between scientific research and societal application. Through a conceptual analysis and systematic review of recent literature, this study identifies four primary domains where science directly impacts QoL: digital health and personalized medicine, sustainable smart urban development, accessible educational technologies, and ethically governed artificial intelligence. The paper further discusses the systemic barriers to this integration, including the digital divide, data privacy concerns, and the lag in adaptive policymaking. The findings suggest that fostering a "Responsible Research and Innovation" (RRI) framework, coupled with robust science communication and participatory governance, is essential to ensure that scientific advancements translate into equitable and sustainable improvements in human life.
