Description

Active power filters (APFs) minimize harmonics and stabilize power factor in modern power systems. This paper examines their design and regulation. Rising non-linear loads such power electronic converters have created high harmonic errors and low power factor. These reduce system efficiency and power purity. The paper explains how to better control Active Power Filters (APFs), which adjust harmonic currents and reactive power in real time. These methods use adaptive control and instantaneous reactive power theory. It can handle a variety of loads because to its improved voltage and current patterns, lower THD, and power factor closer to 1. Proposed APF system is reliable, adaptive, and efficient. These simulations and analysis show that it improves distribution network and industry electricity quality.
