This presentation introduces the note-taking software Obsidian as a tool for knowledge management. It was given online on 2026-05-27 as part of the Coffee Lecture Series organized by the Thuringian Competence Network for Research Data Management.

Abstract (English)

In the contemporary academic environment, characterized by its rapid pace, effective note-taking and effective knowledge management are crucial for productive research. Obsidian is a flexible and powerful tool that facilitates the organization of thoughts, the establishment of connections between ideas, and the enhancement of research workflow. The integration of these practices has the potential to enhance both research data management and creative output. This presentation provides an introduction of Obsidian, a note-taking application.

In der heutigen akademischen Welt sind effektive Notizen und ein effektives Wissensmanagement entscheidend für eine produktive Forschung. Obsidian ist ein flexibles und leistungsstarkes Tool, das Ihnen dabei hilft, Ihre Gedanken zu ordnen, Verbindungen zwischen Ideen herzustellen und Ihren Recherche-Workflow zu optimieren. Die Integration dieser Verfahren hat das Potenzial, sowohl das Forschungsdatenmanagement als auch die kreative Arbeit zu verbessern. Diese Präsentation bietet eine Einführung in Obsidian, eine Anwendung zum Erstellen von Notizen.
